Dave Katragadda believes in strengthening rural communities by providing them with technology and education. “Katragadda Charities” founded by him has been at the forefront of development in rural areas of Andhra Pradesh, especially in his hometown, Chiluvuru. He was instrumental in making Chiluvuru village the first `Rajiv Internet Village.' Connecting farmers to the internet and helping them find solutions in farming from experts.

Dave Katragadda envisions a greater role for Non Resident Indians in U.S political scenario, and has been an active participant and a source of inspiration to many NRIs.
